Support Cine Las Americas
For 14 consecutive years, Cine Las Americas has screened well over 1,200 Latino and indigenous films, hosting dozens of guest filmmakers in the company of thousands of audience members in Austin, bringing inspiration, cultural diversity, and artistic excellence into your life.
During our 2010-2011 season, we are excited to continue to bring free screenings to the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center, along with a number of exclusive advance premieres featuring films and repertoire screenings, while continuing to work with other local groups and organizations to support Latino and Indigenous film and video exhibition and production in Austin.
The 14th Cine Las Americas International Film Festival is scheduled for April 21 to 28, featuring the best and newest of Latino cinema from around the world, international guests in attendance, special events featuring Argentina as the Invited Country of Honor, free screenings, and the Emergencia Youth Film Competition.
During the 2010-2011 school year, BeatLab will continue to bring after-school music production and recording workshops to over one hundred students at Akins High School, Burnet Middle School, Lanier High School, LBJ High School, Pearce Middle School, Reagan High School, Travis High School, and Wynn Middle School.
