12th Cine Las Americas International Film Festival
AUSTIN, TX (April 21, 2009) - Cine Las Americas will host over 20 international filmmakers for the 12th Cine Las Americas International Film Festival, kicking off this Wednesday, April 22 at the Paramount Theatre.
The festival will showcase more than 100 feature films, documentaries, shorts, animation, and experimental films from Argentina (10 films), Brazil (12), Canada (3), Colombia (4), Cuba (2), Ecuador (1), France (2), Guatemala (1), Italy (1), Mexico (22), Nicaragua (2), Paraguay (1), Peru (4), Spain (5), United Kingdom (1), Uruguay (2), USA (26), Venezuela (5) and a focus on the special guest country, Chile - with a 9-film retrospective of that country's films from 1994 to 2004 along with a great selection of 10 new Chilean titles.
