MARKETING MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy for the Cine Las Americas International Film Festival. Key media outlets include print, web and outdoor advertising; email and direct mail; television and radio spots; festival website; festival trailer; community outreach; and the distribution of additional printed materials. The Marketing Manager will work with a Marketing Coordinator, graphic designers, printers and other individuals to execute a marketing plan that increases attendance to the event.
QUALIFICATIONS
CLA seeks a professional, motivated individual with marketing experience who is passionate about film. A Bachelors degree in related field. Minimum 2 years professional experience. Proven written and verbal skills in both Spanish and English. Individual should have excellent communication and organizational skills, thrive in a rigorous, high-energy, deadline oriented work environment and possess adaptability, initiative and high-pressure problem-solving skills.
Event marketing experience is required. Fluency with Mac based applications such as Filemaker Pro, MS Word, and MS Excel, are required. Experience with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and HTML is preferred. Ability to work on projects from home required.
Advanced written and spoken Spanish language skills are required.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Develop overall marketing strategy and timeline
- Coordinate design, printing and placement of all print, web and outdoor advertisements
- Manage content and implementation of all email and direct mail marketing
- Manage content, production and placement of television and radio spots
- Coordinate production and distribution of festival trailer
- Assist in content and development of festival website
- Oversee community outreach and develop effective community partnerships
- Coordinate distribution of festival programs, schedules, posters and flyers
- Develop and implement new and creative marketing initiatives
- Supervise interns and volunteers in the execution of all above-mentioned tasks
- Additional projects as necessary
