Argentina, 1952. Eva Perón lays dying, but small-time private-eye Corvalán has other concerns. Hired by a beautiful woman for a seemingly routine surveillance job, he finds himself in a world of betrayal, greed and violence, where victim may turn executioner, and one wrong move could lead to a most tragic fate.
Ricardo Darín is one of the most popular actors in Argentina. He first reached national acclaim for his television acting, before becoming a film star. His most prominent big screen roles include Nueve Reinas (2000), El Hijo de la Novia (2001), Luna de Avellaneda (2004), and El Aura (2005). Darín and Martín Hodara, assistant director for Nueve Reinas, unexpectedly took over the direction of La señal after screenwriter and director Eduardo Mignogna’s untimely death.
