Boys of Summer
Keith Aumont USA/Curaçao, Documentary, 2010 93 min, HD, Color Papiamentu, English with English subtitles
On a tiny Caribbean island, the Curaçao All-Stars have competed at the Little League World Series for an incredible seven consecutive years. They routinely beat teams from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic in the hopes of making it to the finals in the US. Over the course of one season, the boys face injuries and obstacles as they try to keep the winning streak alive. Team manager Vernon Isabella and his players learn the meaning of national pride in a story that travels from a humble island ball field to the international spotlight and back.
