The tariffs placed on the distribution of films in Latin America stifles much of the creativity and virtuosity of some of the most inventive and realistic cinema in the world. Aranceles, shot in single-sequence panning movement, offers a panoramic metaphor of this situation in Latin American cinema, from the setting of a prison where these films are "jailed."
