Doroteo Garcia, like countless Mexican immigrants, came to the United States to make a better life for his family. What was meant to be a short separation from his family has now lasted longer than a decade. To deal with his loneliness, Doroteo turned to poetry to express himself. To combat the invisibility of immigrant workers, he also became a union activist. This film explores the many layers of this charismatic man by juxtaposing his poetry and storytelling with scenes of his life both inside and outside the art museum where he works.
