Cruz is a young man who has lived his entire life in the mountains of northern Mexico. Before the death of his father, he was told that he had family on the other side of the mountains in the United States. After his father's death, he takes a journey into the unknown and begins to see a world he did not know existed. Hermoso silencio is a story about family, friendship, racism, and love, all of which converge in Cruz's story.

Jorge A. Jimenez holds a degree in Directing and Acting from Texas State University. He has worked in 13 different films as an actor over the past four years including Clemente, 2:22, Desdemon, El Pozo by Guillermo Arriaga, ¿Alguien ha visto a Lupita?, Maten a Leo Mendez, and Shades of Gray.
